JCI London invites you to attend its Annual Dinner in the House of Lords on Friday 29th January 2010, for most of us a once in a life-time opportunity to have dinner in the Houses of Parliament.

And as if the House of Lords is not special enough, JCI London’s Presidential Inauguration will take place as well on this prestiguous evening. To add to the atmosphere we will begin the evening with a drinks reception before we sit down for dinner. Dress code for the night is of course formal/black tie.

On the night the out-going President Marco van den Heuvel will recognise some of JCI London’s members in a special awards ceremony. After the Inauguration Solveig Malvik, JCI London President 2010, will make her first presidential speech to share with us her plans for 2010.

There was a lot of interest to attend our event, both nationally and internationally, so tickets have sold out before the Early Bird deadline on 13th December. Terms and conditions for ticket purchases can be found on the JCI London website. By purchasing a ticket for the Annual Dinner means that you accept the terms and conditions.

Your ticket price includes the drinks reception, three course meal with coffee, service charge, admin fees, and a memory for a life-time. To make this special occasion as affordable as possible for all there will be a cash bar to enable our guests to purchase drinks to accompany the meal according to their personal budget. JCI London is still pursuing sponsoring to add to the experience and save our guests additional expenses.

The JCI London Annual Dinner will be held in The Cholmondeley Room & Terrace Pavilion in the prestiguous House of Lords. The Cholmondeley Room, with its adjoining terrace, overlooks the river Thames.

History of the Cholmondeley Room

The room was given the name "Cholmondeley" after the 5th Marques of Cholmondeley who was the Lord Great Chamberlain. The Cholmondeley Room was originally three library stores with adjoining corridors. The terrace walls were raised by three feet in the early 1970's to avoid the risk of flooding caused by rising tides which continue to affect the Thames.
